Allergies

 Anneliese met with an Allergist and after lots of skin tests determined she is very allergic to cats, peanuts, and eggs. So that means no Christmas cookies (more for us!) 

She also has a mild allergy to dogs and 1 kind of outdoor mold. Even though we were there for almost 3 hours, she had a good time in their fun kids room.

Baby had fun at mama's Holiday work party today at Davidson Brothers. She had lots of yummy food and got to play with 2 other babies.

Throwback: 12/8/2011

ALF has grown and learned so much in just the past 13 months, I decided to look back and see what she was doing this time last year. 12/8/11 was the day of her first genuine smile! Melts my heart <3

ALF under the weather

ALF hasn't been feeling too super lately.  She had some pretty spectacular vomits and pant fillers.  Hopefully it's just a quick bug.

This morning ALF and I went to The Queensbury Hotel for their breakfast buffet.  She almost finished an entire blueberry waffle by herself.  I've never been more proud.

Update: Anneliese successfully transitioned to whole milk at 12 months 2 weeks, which actually was much easier than we thought it would be. She is also feeding herself with a spoon (usually upside down), using a fork and also a big girl sippy cup 75% of the time. She will be seeing an allergist in the near future to confirm her cat/dog/egg white/house dust allergies. Stay tuned...

12 Month Check Up

Anneliese had a great 12 month check up other than discovering she has a double ear infection. She has had a cold for the past week but she has been pretty tough and not letting it bother her. Hopefully the antibiotics kick in soon and she'll be good as new.

Length: 30 in. = 72%
Weight: 21 lbs 5 ounces = 49%
Head Circumference: 18.75" = 96%

She also got her blood drawn for a RAST test to check for environmental and food allergies. Hopefully it comes back negative.

Awww... how adorable.  ALF is cute too.  

Pop has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.  In order to make a difference for him and the 1 in 6 men who will be diagnosed in their lifetime, I am partipating in Movember.  My commitment is to grow a moustache for the month of November and by changing my appearance, raise vital awareness and funds for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer initiatives.
