Baby Poppins

Pretty sure she is the prettiest baby I've ever seen, I may be biased but I am still right. :) As Grandma says, she is practically perfect in every way, just like Mary Poppins.

Week in Review!

Anneliese has been a tummy time champion this week.  Holding her head up like a boss.  If we refer to the babycenter milestone chart, she is currently doing everything for advanced 3 monthers except rolling over (I can't get the dog to do it either).

She is talking up a storm too... which has me both excited and horrified.

So today was Sarah's second day back at work.  She is actually still there right now.  ALF and I spent the past 7.5 hours dancing, singing, eating, pooping, and we threw in a 12 minute nap (I got some of it on video). 

First day of Day Care

Anneliese went to day care for the first time today. :( Our neighbor, Erika, across the road is watching her so it is a flexible and convenient arrangement for us. Anneliese was there for 6 hours today and apparently had a great time. She had fun with Erika and played with lots of great toys. It was so hard to say goodbye, and I probably said it 10 ten times before actually leaving. Of course I cried, but once I was at work I did pretty well and the day went by faster than expected. It was so great to see Anneliese when I got home and to see her smiles and gurgles. :)

Last day of Maternity Leave

Anneliese is starting to really enjoy her Farm Sounds book, she loves it when we make piggy and cow sounds. We read lots of books today and of course she loves the ones that are shiny! She is getting better hand-eye coordination each day. She is holding toys and even starting to bring them up to her mouth. Not even a few weeks ago she didn't like to touch objects, but then she started right on schedule with her milestones.

David the Gnome!

Sarah bought us David the Gnome on DVD for X-mas!  Although ALF shouldn't be watching TV, David the Gnome is is the only exception...  at least until we get our Gummi Bears DVD. 

 

Hat Dance

Today was just another lazy Sunday at the Finnerty house, but we got a little bored so we decided to do a hat dance! Amazingly she can still fit in the hat she wore home from the hospital since it is really stretchy but she is already outgrowing some 3-6 month size hats! What is your favorite?

Fingers aren't just for eating? They are for clasping together and holding toys! Anneliese met these milestones right on time in the past 2 weeks.

Week in Review! Anneliese can laugh!

Yesterday Anneliese Louise (ALF) turned three months old!  So that's how long it took us to start a blog.  I am going to update this everyday... maybe.  Saturdays I will do a week in review.

I guess I should do a quick three month in review first.  She was born October 27th, 6 lbs 15.8 ounces and 20 inches long.  She was born with a rockin' mullet.  She wears cloth diapers and drinks breast milk from the tap.  She had an awesome first Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas (I'll post pictures eventually).  She eats, poops, and sleeps through the night (eff yeah!).  

This week ALF started laughing out loud.  We have video evidence.  She laughs and smiles especially hard at the light switch next to her feeding station (the spot on the couch she gets the boob).    She also went into work with me at school.  She was a big hit.  They keep saying she has perfect features but then they say she looks like me... does that mean I have perfect features?
