Anneliese had a great 6 month check up! Dr. says she is perfect in every way... just has a giant noggin. She got more vaccines and a flu shot today that made her almost scream her giant head off, but she got over it pretty quickly.
ALF had a ridiculously busy weekend. She is exhausted. Saturday morning ALF and daddy went to the Kids Exchange Consignment Sale. We got there right at 9am and the line went all the way around the dome. It was nuts! We bought a Laugh and Learn music table thingy. Then we went to baby lap time at the library. She struck up a conversation with a baby named Lily a la talking twins. It was hilarious.
Today we went to Lake George and saw Keith and AnnMarie again! We went to the Adirondack Winery for a tasting (ALF had a good time). Then we went out to eat again at Red Lobster. ALF enjoyed the reading material on our table. We were spoiled this weekend.
ALF will miss AnnMarie. Something about her face makes ALF giggle.
Anneliese had SO much fun with Grandma the past 3 days. She smiled and laughed 97.3% of the time. She can't wait for Grandma to come back to babysit again!!
Anneliese has almost been able to roll over from her back to tummy and can make it about 3/4 of the way. She can also sit temporarily without support but is still a little weeble-wobbly. In one week she'll be 6 months old!! Holy moly!
Since ALF's coronation as princess, she has been in the market for a new summer home, browsing the local realty listings. She also has been immortalized as a Barbie.
ALF sporting her crown and amber teething necklace.
ALF's official coronation occurred today around 12:30pm. The crown was handcrafted by an artisan from the land of etsy. ALF's first act was a royal proclamation... she declared war on her pants. The monarchy bombarded her enemy. In the end, her pants were overwhelmed. Victory! Sadly, there were some casualties. The royal couch needed a hard scrubbing and the royal nappy changer threw up in her own mouth.
Anneliese went to her first garage sale today, and scooped up some great deals on outfits to wear next year. Our neighbor is having her 4th baby boy in a few months. She was given a few pink things in hopes of finally having a girl, but no such luck. Our neighbors adore Anneliese and we'll be sad to see them move soon. We'll be in the market for a new babysitter starting in September, so referrals are appreciated!
It has been a few weeks since ALF rolled over on her own for the
first time. She hasn't really done it since. That was until yesterday
when she did it twice within five minutes. Now she is a rollover champ
(she can do belly to back, just not back to belly).
ALF went to Baby Lap Time at our local library today!
She was fantastic. She laughed hysterically the whole time. We sang
songs, listened to stories, and even watched a puppet show. Looks like
we will have to go every week.
